As a ConsenSys intern, you will be embedded with one of our product teams and receive 1-to-1 mentorship while making real contributions towards building the Internet of tomorrow. Past ConsenSys interns have:

• Contributed theoretical research to the Ethereum Foundation
• Published among the earliest decompositions of the DAO hack
• Helped INFURA scale to serve more than 40 million requests per day
• Contributed code to uPort, Boardroom, Weifund, the Proof-of-Physical-Address project, and the original Ujo Music prototype—one of the most heavily transacted-with smart contracts in the first six months of the Ethereum mainnet.

About ConsenSys Grants:

ConsenSys Grants is a newly launched program focused on funding all of the amazing hackers (devs), hipsters (designers) and hustlers (entrepreneurs) building projects on Ethereum. We fund projects that are building the foundational infrastructure, tools, and components required to improve the developer and user experience of Ethereum. Our team is small and distributed, made up of a working group, review committee, and board. The intern that fills this position would be working with the ConsenSys Grants leads, facilitating applications, helping to source good projects and tell the stories of the current funded projects. This will be a great opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the ethereum community and ecosystem, along with gaining experience in helping to manage internal projects within ConsenSys Grants.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitating the grantee application process [Manage day to day communications with applicants and grantees, facilitate grant process, handle inquiries, manage grants telegram channel, create bi-weekly grant updates for the company, help automate processes]
• Logistical assistance for upcoming hackathons in DC, London and Sydney [assisting marketing lead with planning hackathon, sourcing vendors, local community outreach and hackathon content creation]
• Ethereum ecosystem research and grant reporting [Work with leads to compile a report of ethereum grants community ecosystem along with the year in review of grants program]
• Support in creating operational and marketing playbook for ConsenSys Grants, this will be in deck format and will be updated on a regular basis

Ideal Experience and Skills:

• Project management experience is a must-have
• Experience with Airtable, Excel and managing databases
• Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to learn quickly
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all work
• Ability to stay organized, meet deadlines, and prioritize
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both in writing and verbally
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and be self-motivated
• Ability to work autonomously given the decentralized structure and know when to ask for support
• Keen interest in ethereum ecosystem and entrepreneurship
• Washington, DC or Dublin, Ireland is preferred, but open to remote
• Available to work 40 hours per week during the fall semester
