Are you interested in how software can positively impact healthcare? We are looking for a Client Services Intern to join our team and work with our clients to help support their success on our software platform.

OpenClinica is accelerating innovation in healthcare by making the complex clinical trials process easier.

We are offering paid year-round internships as part of our Client Services team to a select number of highly motivated individuals who want to learn how to implement technology to improve clinical trials. We are particularly interested in hiring interns who are interested in becoming full-time team members.

Note: a computer science or technical degree is NOT required for this position.

WHO ARE YOU

• You DON’T need to be a computer science major, but you do need to be comfortable with and have used technologies like HTML, XML, Java, and SQL.
• You DO need to like talking to people and be comfortable troubleshooting via email, phone, and other means, and know how to communicate technical issues to both technical and non-technical people.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

• You will learn the ins and outs of cloud-based enterprise software-as-a-service
• You will learn the field of clinical trials, and see how new medicines, devices, and other treatments are developed
• You will learn how to communicate effectively with customers across a wide variety of situations and geographies
• You will learn useful new tools and technologies

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be the first contact point for all clients when they report issues in our ticketing system, triage, set expectations, and provide meaningful response
• Provide proactive consultative support, configuration, and troubleshooting to end users of OpenClinica
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to characterize issues and enhancements

WHAT RE REQUIRE

• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong computer literacy, including demonstrated understanding of concepts related to web-based applications and databases.
• A love for interacting with and helping other people.
• Technically inclined to learn complex software products for the field of clinical trials
• Have a natural curiosity for solving problems
• Exposure to Life Sciences and Healthcare (nice to have)
