Overview TIBCO Spotfire Analytics and Data Discovery Platform

We are looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineering intern to join our analytics and data discovery platform, TIBCO Spotfire, and seize a unique opportunity to be part of one of the fastest growing groups in TIBCO responsible for creating products driven by advanced computational and visual analytics. TIBCO Spotfire is used for analyzing different types of data by our customers from drug research to energy production patterns and sales figures.

The Spotfire Engineering Infrastructure team focuses on the design and implementation of scripts and frameworks used to build, deploy, and maintain our products both internally and in Cloud environments. What You'll Do

As a member and intern of the Spotfire Engineering Infrastructure team you will:

• Contribute improvements that add meaningful value to the TIBCO Cloud Spotfire deployment infrastructure through design and implementation of self-directed projects with support and mentorship from the team
• Proactively solve problems with the help of other members of the team; some that are spread out geographically
• Grow your real-world experience with Cloud providers such as AWS and Azure; and deployment orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes and Helm

Who You Are

• Pursuing a BS or a MS in Computer Science or related major
• Ability to ramp up quickly and apply new technologies and processes
• Working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Windows PowerShell, Unix Shell
• Experience with or exposure to deployment, configuration management and monitoring tools on the Cloud, particularly on AWS (ex. Container Management, Logging)
• Exceptional motivation, enthusiasm and an aptitude to learn and contribute
• Attention to detail and a passion for software quality
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, reporting and communication skills
• Self-directed with strong time management and organization skills

Additional Desirable Skills

• Familiarity with containerization and Cloud deployment tools (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, Helm)
• Experience with continuous deployment and integration tools (e.g. Jenkins, TeamCity)
