    Overview

    The TIBCO Information Security Team works with teams from across TIBCO, including engineering, cloud operations, IT, legal and sales, to ensure continuous improvement in our security posture. The Security Team’s efforts directly affect both TIBCO corporate and our customers. The team has a diverse set of responsibilities to ensure that risks that affect TIBCO customers as well as TIBCO itself are identified and remediated.

    This opportunity is for a self-starting individual to join a professional corporate information security team and participate in all areas of information security including risk assessment, requirements analysis, secure design principles, secure software development and validation, and communications.

    What You'll Do

    ●      Assess internal security processes, recommend changes or enhancements for identified security gaps, and implement recommendations

    ●      Align security standards, frameworks and policies with overall business and technology strategy

    ●      Work across the company to identify and implement privacy requirements

    ●      Collaborate with developers and other internal groups to identify, prioritize and develop improvements to secure software development tooling and practices, including our application security automation tooling

    ●      Work together with cross functional teams of Software Developers, Systems and Network Administrators, and others to improve the security of TIBCO product offerings

    ●      Make improvements to the open-source vulnerability management software built in Python/Django that we use to aggregate and report on our security findings

    What You Will Learn

    ●      The identification, analysis and prioritization of risks that affect enterprise software development and their associated remediations

    ●      Industry standards and regulations that affect enterprise information security

    ●      The tools and technologies that corporate security teams like ours use to manage the complexity of a fast-moving security environment

    Who You Are

    • Pursuing a bachelors or masters degree in Information Security, Computer Science or similar field
    • Pride yourself on being an excellent communicator
    • Enthusiastic and driven to learn new concepts and participate as part of a cooperative and professional information security team
    • Classroom experience or better in programming (e.g. Golang or Java) and scripting languages (e.g. Python, Bash, JavaScript or similar languages) is desired
    • Successful past internships at enterprise software companies are a plus
    • Prior compliance, security policy and procedures experience is a plus
