    PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVE:

    The Strategic Customer Engagements (SCE) team within SAP’s T&I Customer Innovation unit makes innovation real for SAP customers. From Silicon Valley, SCE scales innovation by embracing the entrepreneurial spirit and driving customer engagements within and beyond SAP. We take end-to-end ownership of delivering compelling proofs of concepts (POCs) focused on SAP’s Business Technology Platform for strategic customers. SCE generates new solutions and business models for SAP customers in a highly creative environment by incubating new ideas, demonstrating feasibility of new technologies, and supporting board level initiatives.  We also work with our field organizations to identify high value business scenarios and enable innovation for strategic customers. 

    BONUS: We provide a start-up environment from the heart of the Silicon Valley along with free lunch everyday, pizza on Thursday evenings, and subsidized public transportation! This co-op will support SCE’s business operations.  

    EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS:

    As part of the co-op working for SCE’s business operations, you will receive opportunities unlike any other co-op experience. Some responsibilities bestowed upon you will include but are not limited to:

    • Supporting the reporting needs and requirements of SCE by routinely collecting, organizing, and analyzing:
    1. Activities and statuses of ongoing innovation projects from our project management tool.
    2. Data from our internal Time Entry systems
    3. Data from our financial & controlling systems
    4. Data from our sales performance systems
    5. Market research of related trends and growth
    6. Data from other reports
    • Managing and maintaining various reporting dashboards by providing content and web infrastructure understanding
    • Assisting and reacting quickly to urgent requests from management and executives
    • Contributing to the success of internal & external presentations
    • Supporting the planning and execution of internal & external meetings
    • Liaising with SAP Legal teams to execute the required legal agreements with customers and partners
    • Advocating and promoting SAP’s processes & protocols including but not limited to procurement, development standards, data security, data privacy, and the EU’s GDPR
    • Assisting with the maintenance of SCE’s server infrastructure
    • Managing and maintaining intranet webpages by providing both content and basic web development
    • Creating and ediing internal communications
    • Contributing to the creation & editing of marketing collateral such as “customer stories”, “project one-pagers”, “project briefs”, and the like which promote the activities and achievements of SCE
    • Special projects as assigned by management
  • Qualifications

    EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS: 

    The ideal candidate is a polymath who can take on multiple responsibilities and tasks, and can be a creative problem-solver across a wide-range of topics. The candidate must also be ready and willing to wear many hats and adapt to a fast-moving and constantly evolving business landscape. Therefore the ideal candidate must exhibit the following qualifications for consideration: 

    • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program preferably in one or more of the following areas of study: 
    • Business Administration
    • Finance
    • Sales & Marketing
    • Communications
    • Mathematics
    • Statistics
    • Computer Science

    They must also possess,  An unwavering attention to detail

    • A strong analytical and creative mind-set
    • Tenaciousness in finding the best solutions to problems.
    • A “never quit” attitude
    • Excellent verbal and communication skills 
    • Ability, willingness, and aptitude to learn SAP enterprise software
    • Expert knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel)
    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (preferred)
    • Availability and means to work on-site on the SAP campus in Palo Alto (40 hours per week)

          Finally, 

    • Knowledge of Design Thinking is a great plus
    • A keen sense of humor is greatly appreciated

    LOCATION AND DURATION: Able to work onsite on the SAP campus in Palo Alto, CA starting ASAP for 6 months.  (Successful interns may be offered the opportunity to extend their internships if interested and available.)
