PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES  The intern fulfilling this position will act as a Design Thinking expert and enable Solution Engineers in using DT principles in Customer Discovery meetings and Solution Demos. The goal of this position is to execute on leadership strategy and vision in bringing Design Thinking skills to solution engineers in a way that benefits both the SEs and SAP customers in their interactions. 

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS 

• Build curriculum & toolkit to enable SAP Solution Engineers to utilize Design Thinking for Customer Demos 
• Collaborate with Sales and Presales professionals to execute on Design Thinking initiatives 
• Report directly to the VP of Customer Experience Presales North America to define and execute on Design Thinking strategy as it relates to the Solution Engineering market units
• Accompany field reps to customer meetings as a trusted advisor on Design Thinking principles as it pertains to solution finding 
• Support North America CX Presales leadership team with strategic initiatives

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Candidates must be currently enrolled in an Undergraduate, Masters, or MBA program related to design, technology, communications, or business

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES 

• Outstanding written and oral communication skills 
• Firm foundation in the principles of Design Thinking
• Experience with research and analyzing data
• Must demonstrate professionalism and act as a representative of SAP 
• Basic understanding of computer and business skills: including Outlook, email etiquette, Calendar use, Microsoft word, Skype, and PowerPoint
