    In that context, the Marketing Communications function within SAP Digital is responsible for planning and driving the execution of communications activities across these multiple internal and external audiences. 

    EXPECTATIONS & TASKS

    As part of our SAP Digital Marketing Communications team, you will have the opportunity to gain broad insight into a variety of communications functions from internal newsletter and community development to press release writing, and how to coordinate with related functions like Social Media and Marketing. The role involves producing content for blogs, community posts and contributed articles, as well as publishing in and contributing to our online newsroom.

    Your tasks will primarily comprise the following:

    • Editing, reviewing and proofreading a variety of communication output from blogs and tweets to press releases and presentations
    • Working closely with VP of Marketing Communications to support the development of a thought-leadership campaign
    • Assisting with contact management for press, industry analysts and bloggers
    • Event support
    • Team collaboration/coordination – use of internal Jam collaboration site
    • Tracking campaigns
    • Miscellaneous project support

    • ANTICIPATED START DATE: August 2018
    • OFFICE LOCATION: Newtown Square, PA; Hudson Yards, NY; Portland, OR
    • CONTRACT DURATION: 6 months

    SKILLS / COMPETENCIES

    • Solid editorial skills. Ability to edit technical as well as public relations-related documentation and collateral, adhering to proper grammar, spelling, usage, punctuation and AP style
    • Strong communication and project management skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office
    • Highly motivated and self-driven team player
    • Ability to effectively juggle multiple tasks at once

    EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Candidates must be currently enrolled in either a Bachelors, Masters or PhD to be able to qualify into the intern program
    • Student of a university or university of applied sciences in marketing, communications, advertising, journalism, public relations, business administration or an equivalent discipline
    • Graduate student preferred, 3rd or 4th year undergrads considered contingent on prior internship experience

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • College student in marketing, advertising or communications desired * Familiarity with all aspects of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc. for business (or class-related projects that included these) and personal use
    • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task * Strong writing/editing and speaking skills (writing samples encouraged for application)
    • Ability to communicate and maintain a professional demeanor
    • Strong work ethic and positive attitude
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
    • Highly organized and task-oriented
    • Excellent critical thinking skills
