  • Responsibilities

    PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVE OF POSITION

    The SAP UX Engineering team is seeking an intern to help us build the tools that define the user experience of SAP ERP. If you’re interested in developing products that help to shape the work experience of millions of users, you’ve come to the right place!

    As a member of UX Engineering, you will be part of a dynamic, global team with colleagues in Germany, Ireland, Latvia, and the US. You will be based out of Palo Alto, in the very heart of Silicon Valley.

    Your day to day work would involve collaborating with an experienced team of developers to build and innovate on SAP Fiori elements – a UI framework that accelerates application development by providing users with pre-built layouts for common SAP scenarios. This makes developers more efficient, creates consistency for end-users, and allows organizations to develop at scale.

    EXPECTATION AND TASKS

    This is a full-time position. Your work would be focused creating IDE extensions that run on Visual Studio Code and Theia.

  • Qualifications

    SKILLS / COMPETENCIES

    An ideal candidate is:

    • Fluent with the following web technologies: HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
    • Familiar with TypeScript and React
    • Familiar with web components

    Duration

    6 months, with possibility of extension up to 12 months

    EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS (DEGREES, CLASS COMPLETION, ETC.)

    • Current undergraduate or masters student or new graduate with previous internship experience
    • Preferred degree program: Computer Science or related field
