The SAP Innovation Center Silicon Valley is looking for students with a passion for software engineering or data science and who love to create amazing things. We are working on diverse strategic projects, from creating new enterprise solutions with customers in an agile way, over making machines see and understand, to coming up with visionary technology prototypes around artificial intelligence. We are an interdisciplinary team with skills and experiences ranging from architecture, consulting, data science, visual & interaction design, to engineering and we are looking for energetic students and graduates who want to learn from our team.

This fulltime internship position is based in Newport Beach and will be guided by the Manager of HanaHaus. Our team adds a personal touch to each HanaHaus location and we’re committed to empowering our members in every way. We keep HanaHaus full of amazing small businesses and entrepreneurs by making inspiring first impressions with everyone we meet. We’re the heart and soul of the HanaHaus experience and our digital presence reflects that. You will train with the team which builds and maintains our reservation system and our web-presence and enhances it with the latest technologies.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

• Strong enthusiasm and interest for new technologies and business models of the next generation
• Dedication to learning about prototype technology concepts being developed in real time under under  challenging time constraints with multiple stakeholders
• Receiving training on how to  tackle complex technical challenges independently and as a member of small teams

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently enrolled Major in Software/Computer Engineering/Data Science or related fields
• Recent graduates of no more than 6 months past are also accepted
• Knowledge of Python and Angular as well as experience with a production system and web development
• Extraordinary programming skills (e.g. C#, C++, Objective C, JavaScript, Java and/or HTML5) and/or
• Experience with machine learning & artificial intelligence (computer vision, NLP, data science, etc.).
• Enjoying ambiguous challenges, fast iterations and independent thinking
• Experience gained with various technologies during your studies but also independent of it (e.g. as an intern, as trainee, at a start-up or together with friends or just for fun), to demonstrate that you’re driven to create beautiful & valuable technology solutions.

LOCATION AND DURATION:

Onsite in Newport Beach, CA for 6+ months, travel between 0-10%
