    PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

     

    The IT Asset Management team has an opening for an intern / work student position. As part of SAP’s IT Strategic Central Services unit, the IT Asset Mgmt team offers services that enable key stakeholders in making efficient decisions in daily business & transformation via ALM Key Service Areas: Software Portfolio Mgmt, Asset Data Management & QA, Asset Compliance Mgmt.

     

    This includes driving multiple board initiatives to transform our services to a world class IT Asset Mgmt practice.

     

    This intern/ work student position will mainly be supporting scaling PMO setup which will support the IT Asset Mgmt unit & various parallel projects driving process optimization and internal transformation initiatives.

     

    EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

     

    As a student, you will perform routine tasks to support the effective and efficient running of the Asset Lifecycle Management (ALM) team.  This will give you the opportunity to learn and experience different roles and responsibilities within the Asset Lifecycle Management (ALM) team.  Additionally, this will give you the opportunity to assist in structuring and transforming a team focusing on high performance.

     

    • Support rollout of PMO deliverables to the ITAM team and drive organizational transformational initiatives.
    • Support maintenance of team ITAM JAM page, ITAM wiki pages
    • Drive the continuous improvement of new resource onboarding packages & ITAM service catalog.
    • Support the execution of the ITAM skills management strategy with the development of a standard training curriculum.
    • Become advocate for team operating principles and procedures
    • Support monitoring and attainment of team goals
    • Support bi-weekly management reports and quarterly newsletters
  • Qualifications

    You are currently enrolled as a student in a university or a university of applied sciences:

    • Preferred fields of study: Computer Science, Finance or related fields
    • Computer skills: Microsoft products (especially Excel, PowerPoint) is required, while Skype, MS Teams and JIRA is a plus
    • Agile skills: Knowledge and experience in scrum and agile frameworks is nice to have
    • Language skills: Fluent in English is required (written and verbal) and German is a plus
    • Soft skills: Team player in a multi-national and multi-cultural team, an ideal candidate is organized, well-structured with high degree of passion and creativity, etc.
    • Others:  Flourish in a work environment where flexibility is essential to adapt to changing environment
