PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVE OF POSITION

The Midwest Sales Support Intern is responsible for providing support for the development and execution of market unit sales programs and business analysis. The intern will receive substantial guidance, feedback, and mentoring from the team to help them understand the market unit go-to-market strategy.  The intern will also have the opportunity to independently develop initiatives and programs.

EXPECTATION AND TASKS

The Midwest Sales Support Intern will perform the following duties:

• Align with a sales leader within the market unit to support ongoing programs and activities
• Assist in administration of sales reporting and forecasting
• Analyze customer and sales data to make recommendations on future business
• Create visualizations and reports to share information and trends
• Support customer account research through social mapping and publicly available information
• Interact on weekly and monthly basis with regional leaders to provide relevant updates
• Explore other SAP tools and resources that may be leveraged
• Other duties as assigned supporting Sales Leadership

SKILLS / COMPETENCIES

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Motivated and organized person who is a self-starter and can multi-task
• Basic understanding of information technology and its use in business
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Exudes professionalisms with executive level interactions

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• At least two years of college (junior/ senior)

QUALIFICATIONS

• Some work experience would be helpful
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrate ability to work and think independently
• Proactive and self-starter
