    PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVE OF POSITION

    The NA DBS Partner Alliances and Services Procurement Intern supports the day-to-day business processes required to deliver and recognize revenues and margins for partner-related services business throughout North America, and also performs other important administrative tasks in support of Services Operations.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting important purchasing, time-entry, controlling compliance, invoicing, revenue/margin reporting, etc. components of the NA DBS Partner consulting business and other NA DBS related program management and partner relationship activities, as required. This position also provides support to the Deal Execution process, specifically related to the administration of Deal Quality Reviews.

    The ideal candidate will have some work experience (i.e. internship, part-time, or entry-level), information technology knowledge and interests, logical deductive reasoning, quantitative abilities, interpersonal and communication skills, confidence and strength of character to manage a complex set of tasks. Training will be provided.

    This position will be based in SAP North America’s headquarters in Newtown Square, PA.

    EXPECTATION AND TASKS

    1. Perform daily back-office administrative tasks, including handling Internal Order staffing list requests, administration for Deal Quality Reviews, and managing our C-user requests, for all of North America Services.
    2. Organize to accomplish priority objectives along with daily activities, with attention to detail for assigned tasks.  
    3. Work closely with the NA DBS Operations, Services Sales, and Finance teams in North America to support processing and preparation of plans, transactions, and reports for SAP’s consulting business. 
    4. Coordinate, in a multi-departmental organization environment, with internal management and external partner firms to meet consulting project timeliness and key deliverables.
    5. Process partner consultant reports and other documents/forms using appropriate desktop and enterprise software
    6. Perform post-execution analysis and prepare reports for management to review and present key business objectives and results
    7. Work within the budget and time allocations for the respective activities and programs.
    8. Support the NA DBS Partner Alliances and Services Procurement teams on various projects and activities, as required.

    EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Near graduation for a Bachelor degree, or recent graduate, in business, accounting/finance, operations, economics, information sciences, or management; or on track for an MBA/Master, or recent graduate

    QUALIFICATIONS 

    • Prior part-time, entry-level, and/or internship work experience is a plus
    • Quantitative and IT courses completed (typical of most business degree programs)
    • Fluent English – written and spoken
    • USA work permit

    SKILLS / COMPETENCIES

    Business and IT Related Knowledge & Skills:

    • Work experience and/or courses in one or more of the following areas: accounting & finance, operations, management, economics, business, etc.
    • Some Computer Science or IT related courses - familiarity with enterprise software market or similar business-to-business programs or activities are a plus
    • Ability to assimilate complex ideas and detailed information into professional written, spoken and visual communications
    • Effective program coordination skills
    • Ability to consistently deliver results in a high-energy environment
    • Knowledge of spreadsheets, word processing, and other desktop software
    • Strong organization, quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills
