  • Responsibilities

    The Office of the CEO Briefing Coordinator will apply exemplar written capabilities, communication skills, project management, and attention to detail to ensure the successful preparation and execution of CEO global affairs. The candidate in this position will proactively ensure that the CEO is equipped with all relevant information to successfully conduct a wide range of global engagements, presenting the information in effective and consumable formats. This candidate will largely leverage content supplied by OCEO Subject Matter Experts and will be required to build and maintain close working relationships with these individuals: including but not limited to the Chief of Staff to the CEO, Customer Officers, Government Relations Leads, Corporate Social Responsibility Leads, the CEO Communications team etc.). The candidate will serve as the ultimate quality control expert over content provided to the CEO. He/she will guide the OCEO team by proactively tracking inventory of all CEO preparatory materials and delivering them on-time in a highly compelling, concise, and organized manner.

    Depending on workload at a given time, the candidate in this position will also have the opportunity to participate in special projects across the Office of the CEO and provide additional support to the CEO’s Chiefs of Staff and Executive Assistant – learning the ins and outs of a “best-run” business and Board Office.

    EXPECTATIONS & TASKS

    • Manage an inventory of upcoming briefing requirements. This could include but is not limited to: customer/partner calls or in-person meetings, Board meetings, internal business review calls, media interviews, speaking engagements, university engagements, Head of State meetings, CSR engagements, investor or analyst meetings, etc.
    • Discern content provided by key stakeholders (Subject Matter Experts) to create high-quality prep materials
    • Proactively and resourcefully complement and adjust the content provided by key stakeholders to strengthen the end deliverable
    • Lead the compilation of all “facebooks” (documents highlighting the profile details of key attendees of CEO meetings), architecting biographies and leveraging relevant customer/partner/business information supplied by the CEO Customer Officers and/or Gov’t Relations stakeholders
    • Manage the workflow of all briefings – merging individual research with content supplied by key stakeholders, editing the consolidated product until the final version is complete, high quality, and approved by key stakeholders
    • Interpret and thoroughly understand briefing document content in order to gather missing pieces of information and ask for clarity where needed. Operate with a sponge-like ability to absorb information to constantly improve and learn
    • Deliver all final briefing documents in the set timeframe ahead of a meeting (approx. 1 week in advance)
    • Embrace an evolving workload with agility and a positive attitude understanding that some periods of time will require intensive preparations for a cluster of back-to-back engagements (e.g. preparing the CEO to conduct business internationally) and other periods of time will allow for more special projects as assigned
    • Remain focused and calm in high pressure situations maintaining a “glass half full” mentality when challenges arise or changes to the CEO’s calendar of engagements occurs
    • Constantly seek to improve processes and incorporate best practices that will result in increased reach and impact for the CEO of SAP in turn increasing SAP’s ability to help the world run better and improve people’s lives

    EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred
