  • Responsibilities

    PURPOSE & OBJECTIVE OF POSITION

    • This intern position will support the Global Presales Solution Hubs team within the Global Customer Solutions and Presales organization. This position will be responsible to deliver a variety of assignments and projects including maintaining the SAP Presales Solution Hub Jam sites, delivering related special projects, conducting audits, and providing reports.     
    • This position will report to the Manager of the Presales Solution Hubs.
    • This position will allow the intern to gain general understanding of SAP, the SAP Presales organization and its purpose as well as providing an opportunity to gain experience working in a market-leading multinational organization and further develop a personal network.

    EXPECTATIONS & TASKS

    • Become an integral member of the Presales Solution Hubs team by satisfactorily delivering all supporting tasks as outlined below.  All assigned work is to be delivered on time and at or above quality expectations. 
    • Serve as a contributing team member in all phases of assigned projects and work. 
    • Primary responsibility consists of web administration type tasks to support and maintain all of the Solution Hub Jam groups (18):
    • Monitor root folders in the JAM Solution Hubs and their sub-groups.  Manage new content that arrives, and archive dated information.
    • Audit / repair links to key assets and content in the JAM groups and their sub-groups
    • Review / repair information links on the main overview pages and all tabbed wiki pages
    • Monitor QID (Question/Idea/Discussion) items and ensure they are addressed within a target time frame
    • Audit Featured Content and update outdated content
    • Assist with the incorporation new announcements and news items
    • Incorporate new page designs
    • Execute special projects as assigned. This work may include conducting telephone interviews and preparing project deliverables. 
    • Organize and formalize information for weekly activity updates to management.
    • Track metrics as assigned and prepare reports.

    SKILLS / COMPETENCIES

    • Excellent attention to detail to ensure high degree of quality assurance
    • Proven self-starter; self-motivated and able to work with minimal direct supervision
    • Ability to function in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
    • Business and technical aptitude; ability to learn new concepts and tools quickly
    • Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage and execute multiple tasks / projects simultaneously
    • Strong communications skills, oral and written, and solid interpersonal skills (i.e. comfortable with speaking to colleagues and managers)
    • Ability to interact with internal teams, organizations, project teams / stakeholders external to Presales
    • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Desk top tools: PowerPoint, Word, Excel
    • Familiarity of social business practices and tools: Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.
    • Web Administration experience and knowledge of HTML and the use of an HTML editor (i.e. Microsoft FrontPage) is a plus
    • Previous project management work and social collaboration and user based design experience is also a plus.

    EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

    • BS or Master’s (preferred) degree in Business, related technical discipline, or related area of study.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Requires candidates to currently be enrolled in an undergraduate, Masters, MBA or PhD degree program, which is applicable to the position.
