KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
As the LAC PMO for Leonardo & Analytics (L&A), we are looking for a
solid individual contributor with project management skills capable of
creating, implementing and tracking KPIs, and support the development of
Leonardo and Analytics business in the Region. Execution is key, this
individual will not only track, but key in monitoring deviations and
driving transformation to achieve the regional goals. He/she will also
work on the preparation of internal and external presentations of the
SVP of Leonardo and Analytics to internal and external audiences,
including press interviews, and any other audience. For that the
candidate will have to work in sync with the Corporate Communication and
Marketing teams.
The candidate is also expected to monitor Regional
macroeconomics, industry trends, customer behavior, partners,
competitors, always having in mind our strategy and portfolio, in order
to advice the SVP of Leonardo and Analytics on business decisions. The
ideal incumbent would also align local and global initiatives, engage
global partners to seek resources when needed.
- Manage multiple projects or initiatives throughout various stages of
the life cycle
- Institutes appropriate Steering and Operational Governance, and
conducts project phase stage-gate reviews with the L&A leadership
team
- Provide leadership to diagnose and overcome barriers to
team/project progress. Resolve internal and external team conflict
to ensure adherence to project schedule and budget. Identify project
uncertainties, alternative resource plans, and other risks for both
client and company. Implement mitigation strategies and contingency
plans
- Prepares overall (integrated) project management plan in conjunction
with Project Sponsor/Program Manager and measures and reports on
deliverables, outputs and progress against this plan
- Manages project scope to ensure that requirements are analyzed,
documented and agreed and the impact of subsequent any change is
formally assessed, evaluated and approved
- Prepares Project Charter and secures Sponsor sign-off, prepares
Project Checklist and Compliance Questionnaire
- Defines policies, procedures and documentation to create, manage and
control the project schedule
- Develops the project cost baseline and measures progress and
completion forecasts against it, ensuring that variances are
reported and approved as necessary.
- Demonstrates high level of financial and cost management discipline
- Defines the quality metrics to be used on the project and implements
processes to measure the quality of deliverables against them
- Ensures the collection, generation, distribution, storage, retrieval
and timely distribution of project information to all stakeholders
and project team members
- Monitors and controls project risks, implementing mechanisms to
identify and analyze them as well as planning responses to them
- Identifies people, groups or organizations impacting or impacted by
the project and develops strategies for engaging and communicating
with them to meet their needs and expectations
- Contributes to the continued improvement of PMO standards of
performance, striving for project execution excellence Opportunity
Management
- Scope and estimate the engagement
- Determine required resources for the project
- Oversee effective project oversight and reviews to affect
program success.
- Serve as mentor / advisor / decision-maker to project managers for
the program for issues related to corporate politics, external
politics, client relations, project quality, and project risk.
- Takes responsibility from time to time as team lead and supports
respective line manager(s) in people development tasks Knowledge
Management
- Maintain program documentation and updates; analyze lessons learned
and share with the Field Services Program Management Practice for
utilization on future programs.
