    POSITION TITLE: SAP Industry Sales Intern

    LOCATION: Palo Alto or San Ramon, CA

    EXPECTED START DATE: 4/1/20

    ABOUT THE TEAM:

    The Western U.S. Sales Intern will support the VP of Sales and their Sales Team of Industry Account Executives in identifying prospects, partners that are interested in partnering and implementing SAP’s World Class solutions. The team spends a lot of time in the field with customers nurturing relationships, developing business cases while driving multiple sales cycles to closure.  This leaves little time for the back office, the management of deals, and marketing focus, they miss the opportunity to focus on a core element needed in doing market analysis, researching Industry trends and creating campaigns and events, leveraging marketing technology and utilizing Social Media.

    IN THIS ROLE, YOU’LL:

    • Research contacts to prepare and drive Marketing campaigns
    • Research and resource content that Sales Teams can use to run Social Media Campaigns
    • Reverse Mentor Industry Account Executives become more skilled at Digital Selling.
    • Network and expand your contacts and mentors within SAP.
    • Manage Innovation Days with Prospects, Organize Internal Lunch and Learns,
    • Executive Briefings/Prep Work, Surveys
    • Account and Industry Research
    • Develop White Space (Gap in Customer processes)
    • Extend additional support where needed
    • Attend Field Meetings- doing the preparation, taking notes, managing a meeting, summarizing Actions and preparing Follow Up plan for the team.
    • Collaborate with team members/interns to:
    • Creative pipeline building activities/Drops
    • Attend Competitor events in the Bay Area
    • Drive a Local Corporate Social Responsibility event for the West M.U.

  • Qualifications

    WHO YOU ARE:

    We’re looking for someone who can challenge the status quo and likes to stay curious. You enjoy working on meaningful projects and are energized by lifelong learning. You care about meaning in your work project and you enjoy collaborative thinking with your peers.

    • Senior or Rising Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Marketing or Communications
    • Interested in Software Sales and Services as a Career that focus on solving a prospects process or organizational challenges
    • Experience with Excel; data entry and in-depth analysis (desired)
    • Basic Power Point Skills
    • Knowledge of Social Media Platforms used in Business Marketing
    • Displaying professionalism and strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to research, summarize findings and present to the team at least once every 3-4 weeks during the experience for your learning and development.
