The role of the Intelligent Spend Analytics and Insights group is to provide data, analytics, and innovations through insights across the entire Intelligent Spend Management organization. We do this by championing data, analytics and success measurement outcomes across the entire customer lifecycle. In addition, the Intelligent Spend Analytics and Insights team also provides predictive insights using data from the world’s largest business network.

The main objective of the internship is to partner with the Analytics and Insights team to create predictive analytics, innovative real-time and historical market data as well as analytic data solutions designed to meet new industry challenges.

The Intern will learn about:

• Utilizing business data to create analytics and insights using statistical/mathematical models
• Developing practical business solutions to predict performance
• Preparing meaningful presentations to an executive audience

The knowledge and skills gained from this Internship will provide the Intern with opportunities to work in a growth and learning environment, access to thought leaders across multiple discipline and the ability to contribute to leading edge analytical resources.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

This role is responsible for leading and supporting the development of predictive analytics to create new products or concepts that measure performance through the use of data across the business network, survey information, market intelligence, governmental released statistics, etc.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Looking for an candidates who's currently pursuing PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES 

• Understanding of advanced analytical concepts/statistical models
• Advanced technical proficiency with knowledge of SQL, R, Python, MS Office, or equivalent
• Willing to learn new concepts
• Experience in data manipulation and manipulating a large dataset
• Ability to deal with ambiguity
• Self-starter
• Experience leading projects independently
• Resourceful
• Strong understanding of applying advanced analytics to solve business problems
• Ability to interpret and explain methodology and results
