EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

• The focus for the SAP Next-Gen Intern in Los Angeles will be to support go to market activities to build up the SAP Next-Gen network in Los Angeles and southern California. The intern will activate relationships with academic thought leaders and researchers, students, startups, accelerators, tech community partners, purpose driven partners, venture firms, futurists, and celebrity & citizen activists, creating new opportunities for companies to explore digital innovation with purpose in an expanding SAP Next-Gen network in and around LA, with connections to the global SAP Next-Gen “Innovation with Purpose” network.
• The intern will also support the planning and execution of SAP Next-Gen services and events such as SAP Next-Gen Innovation Tours, enabling audiences of industry partners, academics, startups, accelerators, purpose partners, non-profits, institutions, and celebrity & citizen activists to come together for new experiences and a new perception of SAP as an “innovation with purpose” company fostering the future of industries with SAP’s latest technologies and in support of SAP’s commitment to the UN Global Goals for Sustainable Development.
• The SAP Next-Gen Intern in Los Angeles will support the local SAP Next-Gen lead and the global head of SAP Next-Gen in any other way to contribute to the success of SAP Next-Gen.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Bachelor’s Degree track (Master’s Degree track a plus)
• Adept at meeting and engaging with new people in diverse settings to build up partner networks
• Organizational and event management skills
• Fluent in English with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Strong skills with MS Office suite.

PREFERRED SKILLS

• Degree concentrations in entrepreneurship, innovation, marketing, communications, technology, or business management preferred
• Quick to adapt to evolving go to market requirements.

WORK EXPERIENCE

• Prefer one prior internship experience, ideally in a technology or startup setting.
