COMPANY DESCRIPTION
As market leader in enterprise application software, SAP helps companies of all sizes and industries innovate through simplification. From the back office to the boardroom, warehouse to storefront, on premise to cloud, desktop to mobile device – SAP empowers people and organizations to work together more efficiently and use business insight more effectively to stay ahead of the competition. SAP applications and services enable customers to operate profitably, adapt continuously, and grow sustainably.
STAR (Student Training And Rotation) is a multi-year SAP undergraduate rotational program that is designed to employ students over internships or co-ops, with the ultimate goal being full-time employment and integration with SAP.
The STAR program allows students to get hands-on experience and rotate between multiple lines of businesses such as SAP’s Internal IT (internal IT support), Global Services and Support (customer software support), Enterprise Analytics (sales analytic support) and Custom Development (custom solutions for customers). There is also a potential for an international rotation.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS: STAR students will receive a full range of trainings including business, technical and soft skills prior to entering their specific department. Selected participants are expected to commit to full-time employment when on break from the university and part-time during their academic terms. Top performers who successfully graduate from university will be well positioned for full time employment in one of the appropriate areas of the business at SAP. Graduates of the program will likely find their ideal job in the areas of software development, service & support, product management, or consulting.
