POSITION SUMMARY:

The SAP Student Training and Rotation (STAR) Program is a multi-year undergraduate rotational program that is designed to employ students over internships or co-ops, with the ultimate goal being full-time employment and integration with SAP. The STAR program allows students to get hands-on experience and rotate between multiple lines of businesses such as SAP’s Internal IT (internal IT support), Digital Business Services (software support and consulting), Enterprise Analytics (sales analytic support), Software Development, Custom Development (custom solutions for customers) and opportunities within SAP Ariba.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS:

STAR students will receive a full range of trainings including business, technical and soft skills prior to entering their specific department. Selected participants are expected to commit to full-time employment when on break from the university and part-time during their academic terms. Top performers who successfully graduate from university will be well positioned for full-time employment in one of the appropriate areas of the business at SAP. Graduates of the program will likely find their ideal job in the areas of software development, service & support, product management, or consulting.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

• Currently enrolled in a degree seeking program at a university local to the Pittsburgh area

• Pursuing a relevant Bachelor’s degree in a STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) field of study

• Interested in pursuing a long-term internship schedule with full-time hours while on summer break and/or co-op, as well as part-time hours during the academic year

• Adaptable, proactive, and willing to learn

• Collaborative and team-oriented

• Excellent communicators in English (additional languages a plus)

• Experience in one or more programming language a plus (e. g. JAVA, JavaScript, C++, ABAP).

• Participation in extracurricular activities desirable
