    CONTRACT DURATION: 6 MONTHS

     

    CONTRACT HOURS: 40 HOURS/WEEK

     

    ANTICIPATED START DATE: DECEMBER 2020

     

    OFFICE LOCATION: NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA

     

    PURPOSE & OBJECTIVE OF POSITION

     

    Space Planner designer to conduct business meetings to understand the departmental business driver, strategies expectations and translate these into the physical space that will assist the business achieving their overall goals.

     

    EXPECTATIONS & TASKS

     

    • Develop neighborhood layouts of existing and proposed reconfigurations as necessary to accommodate growth and changes as a result of business needs
    • Maintain departmental boundaries and locations on plans
    • Keep tabs on the Space Request mailbox and ensure that desk is provided to all those who are eligible
    • Run utilization reports periodically to understand who is eligible and who is not and use diplomacy and tact to deal with departmental liaisons to ensure optimization of campus workspace
    • Walk the buildings on a consistent basis to ensure that the NSQ space is being effectively used and maintained
    • Create move plans and cost estimates related to space assignments and coordinate movers, IT and maintenance staff to ensure timely and efficient relocations
    • Conduct building walking surveys to verify that employee locations, furniture layout and room configurations are correctly noted on floor plans
    • Verify all site as-built drawings (AutoCAD) are up to date
    • Should not be afraid to challenge status quo with current workplace organization at NSQ and foster change within structure to support new SAP culture

     

    SKILLS / COMPETENCIES

     

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written and strong negotiation skills
    • Proven track record of executing move requirements, reconfiguration processes, and furniture selection
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-pace dynamic corporate organization
    • Strong organizational skills, proven technical aptitude, and attention to detail and quality
  • Qualifications

    EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

     

    Professional experience in facilities planning, furniture project management, furniture design or interior design.

    QUALIFICATIONS

     

    • General understanding of AutoCAD plans, proficiency in MS Office Suite Excel and PDF Reader/Writer
    • Extensive project management experience as it relates to space planning and vendor management
