    INTERNSHIP PROGRAM OVERVIEW

    SAP Ariba’s Commerce Support Internship Program will advance your personal and professional development by gaining hands-on experience with SAP Ariba cloud software and applying your technical classroom training to real-world customer situations. 

    As a Technical Support Intern, you will work in a team-oriented environment where you will have the ability to demonstrate leadership, initiative, and problem solving skills.  We provide the necessary product and process training for you to troubleshoot issues and provide customers with dependable and timely communication.  Interns will also be exposed to a variety of challenging assignments and global projects across the Commerce Support organization.

    The program is a 6-Month, full-time, paid assignment that takes place over the summer.  Intern assignments may be shortened or extended based on the company’s needs and may offer opportunities for part-time, paid employment during the academic year.  Through these highly-competitive opportunities, you can sharpen the skills you acquire in school and contribute your knowledge and talent to make an impact at SAP Ariba.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide direct assistance with customers via phone and email
    • Research, document, and escalate cases according to procedure
    • Provide ongoing and timely communication to customers regarding the status of their requests
    • Troubleshoot customer issues to resolution
    • Author internal and external content for SAP Ariba’s User Community and internal knowledgebase
    • Act as a resource for ongoing projects and initiatives
    • Analyze data to determine trends and supporting information
    • All other duties as assigned
  • Qualifications

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Completed courses in a technical and/or business curriculum
    • Customer service experience
    • Strong written and oral communication skills
    • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
    • Organizational, time management and prioritization skills
    • Experience working in a team environment
    • Proficiency with Word, Excel, and other MS Office programs
    • Exposure to working with databases and writing queries
    • An understanding of object-oriented methodologies and programming in Java and/or C++
    • Understanding of Open API Methodology is a plus, but not required

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • Internships are open to undergraduate sophomores, juniors and graduate students who are currently pursuing their degree from an accredited college or university.
