JOB SCOPE:

• Lead a complex database integration project from research and design through validation. The project will include interviewing stakeholders, writing a project specification, working with APIs, designing and implementing tables in SQL, developing workflow automation, and documenting/presenting results.
• Utilize your programming skills to answer Product questions through data.
• Work cross-functionally with other teams including UX, Marketing, Product and Sales to identify valuable collaboration opportunities and break silos
• Create publications and presentations to communicate the latest product usage trends and convey key new findings to RingCentral Employees

• Freshman and Sophomores students need not apply.
• Major in CS, Engineering, Statistics, or Mathematics. Will consider other majors if you have very strong CS skills/experience.
• Database experience (industry experience preferred) - Proficient in SQL (any variant), solid understanding of RDBMS and how tables are designed, built, and used
• Strong presentation skills - You will be presenting regularly to the team and communicating with a variety of stakeholders via RingCentral Video. We need someone who is a strong writer and communicator who can represent the team.
• Organized, self-motivated - You will be given a lot of freedom and responsibility to prioritize your time and effort in a way that benefits the entire team.
• Proven examples of initiative - Please share a portfolio, website, neat personal projects, etc. We highly value the skills and learning that come with self driven exploration regardless of topic.

LEARNING SKILLS/OUTCOMES:

• Applied software development - You'll get to work with several industry-standard database tools and programming languages to design new workflows and utilities
• Time management & project management - You will be given a lot of freedom to dictate your own workflows and schedule tasks as you see fit to achieve your projects.
• Close mentorship - We're committed to ensuring that you have the information and tools you need to succeed in this role, despite the remote environment.
• Visibility within RingCentral - This role will interact with a wide range of teams and have opportunities to present to senior employees.
