THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Product Management Intern at Xactly Corporation, you will contribute to the creation of key product features and functionality. Working closely with our team of experienced Product Managers and a variety of stakeholders, you will learn to uncover customer needs, translate these needs into key product requirements, and identify/develop solutions that both add customer value and drive Xactly growth. As a part of these efforts, you will gain the knowledge of how we effectively design, collaborate across departments, and communicate our ideas, strategies, and solutions throughout the organization. You can expect to learn about the field of Product Management (including various techniques and approaches to the role), Agile Scrum, SaaS, and the exciting complexity of B2B product design and delivery.

Xactly Product Management is a lively, tight-knit team consisting of Product Managers and User Experience professionals. We are the innovative, forward-thinkers of the product, always collaborating and striving to discover the best solutions for our users. As a member of our team, you will work with a supportive group of people who are invested in your learning, growth, and success!

THE SKILL SET:

• Demonstrable quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• A team player who can contribute both collaboratively in groups and autonomously
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• A good listener with an inquisitive nature
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver on time
• Basic knowledge of web-based technology and software development
• Experience with product design, marketing, and/or sales a plus

WITHIN ONE MONTH, YOU'LL:

• Get your bearings and begin to build a strong foundation, upon which to grow
• Establish relationships with internal business partners including engineering, customer success, sales, marketing, etc.
• Gain an understanding of Sales Performance Management space and the business challenges Xactly solves
• Work with your manager to identify your key interests, and determine projects/deliverables for the duration of the internship

WITHIN TWO MONTHS, YOU'LL:

• Be immersed in the Product Management team and Xactly culture
• Take a deep dive into your project topics and gain the necessary expertise to build towards your internship-end deliverables

WITHIN THREE MONTHS, YOU'LL:

• Complete your internship project/deliverables and present your work to a group of internal stakeholders
• Have a strong understanding of the Product Management career, including exposure to various philosophies, techniques, and approaches to the role
• Gain a network of people across various disciplines, technology experiences, and position levels
