    THE OPPORTUNITY

    As a Product Marketing Manager at Xactly, you will be responsible for the overall go-to-market (GTM) strategy and implementation for key products in the portfolio. We are seeking an energetic and motivated team player who is passionate about product marketing in the hi-tech industry.

    THE TEAM

    Xactly's Product Marketing team sits within the Marketing function, and is home to a lively, tight-knit group that closely aligns with fellow marketers, Product Management, Sales, Customer Success and other functions.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • GTM Strategy:
      • Closely align with product management to ensure a clear understanding of product roadmap
      • Develop and execute data-informed strategic GTM plans focused on driving company results including launch planning, market research, content/collateral creation, ideal customer profile identification, use case research, sales enablement, and team training
      • Track product usage trends to inform product development, pricing/packaging, content and collateral
    • Messaging and Positioning:
      • Leverage your deep understanding of our buyers' needs and competitive landscape research to build a compelling narrative for our products and services
      • Create compelling positioning and messaging frameworks to articulate our unique value propositions and differentiate our products in the market
      • Partner with fellow marketers to bring our differentiated story to life through thought leadership, content marketing, etc.
    • Enablement:
      • Be the subject matter expert for your products, helping to develop and deliver sales enablement resources (sales decks, product overviews, case studies, etc.)
      • Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure top of funnel success (e.g., demand generation, content marketing, events, webinars, etc.)

    SKILL SET / QUALIFICATIONS

    • 2+ years of product marketing experience preferred
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Attention to detail and the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into concise buyer-facing language
    • Some knowledge of positioning and messaging for hi-tech, SaaS and cloud topics
    • Ability to create and execute GTM strategies and deliverables such as positioning/messaging, pitch decks, sales playbooks, thought leadership content, social, emails, etc.
    • Critical thinking skills and inquisitive mindset for business and market analysis
    • Proven success working cross-functionally to support company-wide alignment
    • Self-motivated and able to set own direction

    WITHIN ONE MONTH, YOU'LL

    • Attend robust onboarding program and get up to speed on who we are, what we do and how we do it
    • Familiarize yourself with our comprehensive company tech stack
    • Build relationships with internal business partners including product management, marketing and sales

    WITHIN THREE MONTHS, YOU'LL

    • Have a strong understanding of the business and our products
    • Understand the customer's point of view and begin to position our solutions in a way that resonates with their needs
    • Begin to develop strategies to drive product positioning, product launches, and GTM enablement for the products you manage

    WITHIN SIX MONTHS, YOU'LL

    • Begin to implement the strategies that you have been developing over the past six months for the products you manage
    • Be seen as a trusted business-advisor for your products, making a significant positive impact company-wide
    • Begin to connect products/solutions to big picture themes, and deliver creative ideas to amplify the unique value and position of products

    WITHIN TWELVE MONTHS, YOU'LL

    • Maintain evolving product marketing strategies for the products you manage
    • Identify further personal education opportunities to increase your business and instructional acumen

    Final pay determinations, salary ranges and pay increases are established by the employer. The ranges are an estimate based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs, and other considerations permitted by law. They are based upon a combination of local industry benchmarks, budget, experience, and internal comparisons. Salary ranges allow for growth opportunities as the employee develops new skills, and/or hones current skills.

    Salary Range: $62,100 - $77,600 annual base salary + semi annual bonus
