    PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

    The Goals and Mission of the Product Support organization is to ensure optimal performance, availability and smooth operation of SAP software solutions as well as to optimize technical and business processes by delivering services to SAP customers.     As a Product Support Intern, you will analyze and provide feedback to our international Customers and Internal Stakeholders. A strong desire to work in a collaborative, team setting as a creative problem solver is desirable. The Product Support Intern will need the ability to support complex environments and provide root cause analysis on a variety of environments.

    EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

    • Work independently and apply effective problem solving skills
    • Supporting internal users and infrastructure
    • Successfully manage multiple projects at the same time
    • Participate in Product Support projects around improving processes or other areas
    • Incident Solving - Resolve known errors by means of SAP Notes, Knowledge Base articles, solved customer incidents, documentation, WIKI, or verifying customized entries or hardware parameters
    • Perform root cause analysis and provide solutions
    • Achieve a good level of customer satisfaction
    • Properly document communications and actions for customer issues in our CRM system
    • Share and document knowledge through creation of WIKI entries and Knowledge Base articles
    • Report errors to development organizations
    • Act as an ambassador for the Product Support Organization

  • Qualifications

    EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

    • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or master’s degree program in IT/Computer Science related areas

    Required Skills:

    • Excellent diagnostic and technical analysis skills
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Ability to assess, plan and troubleshoot while collecting information about the customer issue
    • Fluent in English (written and oral)

    Preferred Skills:

    • Proficiency in operating systems (Unix/Windows)
    • Proficiency in Relational Databases (e.g. Sybase ASE, Oracle, MaxDB, DB2, SQL Server etc.)
    • Proficiency in Object Oriented Programming (Java, C++, ABAP/4 etc) and Programming Logic
    • Proficiency in Business Processes and the ABAP dictionary
    • Proficiency in Products & Solutions including SAP Netweaver BI & SAP Business Suite
