Technology & Innovation (T&I) is responsible for SAP’s overall platform and technology development such as SAP Cloud Platform and SAP HANA. In addition, T&I drives the incubation and adoption of intelligent technologies like Analytics, SAP Leonardo Machine Learning and IoT across SAP’s product portfolio. The T&I board area is also in charge of SAP’s global innovation agenda and builds new business model- and market driven innovations to help customers realize the most business value.

SAP Conversational AI (CAI) is part of SAP Leonardo Machine Learning Unit. The aim of CAI is to bring conversational interface to any SAP Products as well as deliver a great Machine-Learning based Bot Building platform to any enterprise that wants to leverage conversation in their business. SAP CAI comes from the acquisition of Recast.ai by SAP in 2018. It is now a +100 Product Unit with teams in Germany (Walldorf), France (Paris), India (Bangalore) and US (Palo-Alto).

As a QUALITY SPECIALIST in our Conversational AI team, you lead and drive the complete end-to-end test strategies. You use your proficient knowledge in the Conversational AI domain, about product standards, and important legal requirements to create a detailed test design incl. test system landscape definition, prepare tests, as well as the author and execute manual and/or automated tests. You analyze test results and take appropriate follow-up actions. For the team, you serve as subject-matter-expert in terms of quality assurance and test-related processes, methods and tools.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE

• Define test objectives, strategies, processes, standards, and metrics for both manual and automation tests.
• Analyze user stories and assess manual tests in order to design and build automated tests within the automation framework.
• Create and execute manual and automated test cases for functional, regression, and end-to-end testing, including both backend and frontend testing of the entire system, subsystems, and interfaces to other systems.
• Run test case management and defect management using SAP tools (knowledge of setting up these tools and their integration for QA trackability: Sirius, JIRA, GTP/TWB)
• Define, assess, and maintain product pipeline and unit test cases
• Track and analyze test results, take corrective action, report automation summaries, and update status reports
• Perform a thorough quality check and prepare test evaluation reports with clear evidence to support go/no-go release decisions

A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WOULD

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computational Linguistics, or related fields
• 2+ years of relevant experience in software development quality assurance as QA tester or similar role
• Experience in project management and Quality Assurance methodology
• Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
• Working knowledge of test management software (e.g. qTest, Zephyr) and SQL.
• Familiarity with agile frameworks and regression testing
• Experience with machine learning or natural language understanding technologies, and prior experience with building bots on is a huge plus
• Must be able to work onsite in Palo Alto, CA, local candidates preferred
