The SAP Academy for Presales will provide you with world-class training and skills to propel you into a successful career in the technology space. This program is your opportunity to engage with customers, help solve their unique business challenges using cutting edge cloud-based products, solutions and services!

For 2021, the dynamic 12-month program builds a foundation for a successful presales career at SAP. The Associates experience innovative classroom-style learning delivered by a full-time faculty combined with on-the-job training and mentoring in the field. Together with colleagues from all over the world, you will participate in experiential learning opportunities including presentations, role plays, team competitions, Design Thinking, gamification, social selling and more. A Senior Presales colleague will mentor and support you to achieve success at SAP.

After your successful training, you are expected to lead customer discovery sessions and survey activities to uncover business challenges and opportunities for innovation. You will create and deliver high impact and engaging software demonstrations that compel the customers to select SAP over other competitive offerings. You will also provide demand generation support through marketing events and deal execution support by responding to request for proposals.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Successful completion of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
• Technically oriented possessing an aptitude for rapidly learning complex software applications
• Great communicator, organized, and quick at learning and understanding new technology skills with an aptitude and passion for public speaking
• Self-starter with strong interpersonal skills who is eager to learn
• Ability to rapidly assimilate and distil complex topics in the form of a presentation
• Prefer Experience with digital technology, editing software packages and video distribution platforms (e.g. Photoshop, After Effects, Final Cut, Motion, Adobe Premiere, Camtasia, Videolicious, Kaltura)

WORK EXPERIENCE

• 3-5 years’ work experience post undergraduate degree, preferably in a technology company or within a relevant Line of Business including but not limited to: Finance & Accounting, Human Capital Management/ Human Resources, Information Technology/Database Management, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Marketing/Commerce /Retail, B2B, B2C, etc.

LOCATIONS:

• Upon selection into the Presales Academy, you will be aligned to a specific location based on the needs of the business.  Locations may include many major SAP office locations including but not limited to New York, NY; Chicago, Il; Newtown Square, PA; Atlanta, GA or Houston/Dallas, TX.  All hires will be required to relocate to a selected office location.

During the extraordinary time of the COVID-19 pandemic, current temporary SAP guidance requires all employees to work from their homes.  If, as of the intended May 2021 start date of the 2021 program, SAP’s work from home guidance is still in effect, participation in the program will be on a virtual basis from your current home address until further SAP guidance is provided.  However, in ordinary circumstances, a portion of the program requires travel to SAP’s San Ramon, CA office.  If SAP’s COVID-19 work from home guidance concludes, we intend to conduct a portion of the program in San Ramon, CA and travel therefore would be required in order to continue in the program. You will be provided with up to 4-weeks’ notice.  If you are unable for any reason to travel to San Ramon, CA once notified of the in-person program intent, your participation in the program may be discontinued and your associated employment ended, and thereafter SAP will have no further obligation to you.

If you satisfactorily complete the requirements of the SAP Academy Program in accordance with established SAP Academy performance criteria, SAP intends to place you in a defined position.

General information: It is mandatory for all USA/ Canada based hires to possess full time work authorization in their respective country of application, as there is no visa sponsorship for the positions that are permanently based in the USA/Canada.
