    ABOUT THE TEAM:

    SAP Ariba Global Sales COO Intern will support the sales organization at SAP responsible for selling software solutions for the source-to-pay business processes. The members of this sales organization work with prospective customers to identify business opportunities for them to digitize and automate their supplier sourcing, procurement, accounts payable, treasury, and supply chain capabilities.

     

    The role of the Global COO is to optimize the effectiveness and efficiency of this global salesforce. That role includes implementing the go-to-market strategic plan for the company, evaluating the selling motions to maximize revenue, removing barriers to success, and optimizing the costs of the sales operation.

     

    WHAT YOU’LL DO:

     

    • Complete market analysis on existing customers and prospects, evaluate industry and market segments, and generate recommendations on sales organizations and campaigns as a result of the. You will review the analysis with the chief revenue officer (CRO), who is located in Chicago, during checkpoints and then present at the end of the summer. Your resulting presentation can then be included in your collegiate portfolio.
    • Work with the Chief of Staff for the CRO and gain experience with several business initiatives that will be occurring over the course of the summary. Responsibilities will include managing action items, following up with internal colleagues, and composing executive summaries.
    • Prepare communications for the CRO, COO, and/or Chief of Staff for internal colleagues, partners of SAP, and some customers

    LOCATION: Chicago, IL (Fieldglass Office)

    EXPECTED START DATE TO END DATE: JUNE 8, 2020 – AUGUST 14, 2020

     

    WHO YOU ARE:

     

    We’re looking for someone who can challenge the status quo and likes to stay curious. You enjoy working on meaningful projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

    • Junior or Rising Senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business or Communications.
    • Interested in a Career that focuses on solving a prospects process or organizational challenges
    • Better than basic Microsoft PowerPoint Skills
    • Experience with Microsoft Word, OneNote, and Outlook for composition and editing
    • Experience with Microsoft Excel; data entry, some analysis (desired)
    • Knowledge of Social Media Platforms used in Business Marketing is a plus (Linked In, Grapevine 6, Twitter, Instagram)
    • Displaying professionalism and strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to research, summarize findings and present to the team at least once every 3-4 weeks during the experience for your learning and development.
