WHAT YOU’LL DO:

In this role, you will be part of the SAP Ariba Solution Management team which is responsible for effectively messaging and positioning solutions across the SAP Ariba portfolio to internal and external audiences. You will support the Director, Competitive Strategy and Programs in conceptualizing and executing on initiatives to build up a best in class competitive intelligence program. You will also be supporting the various analyst engagements with firms like Forrester, Gartner, IDC etc. for evaluation and positioning of SAP Ariba solutions.

Interns will participate in collaboration, education, and mentorship opportunities, and will also work closely with other iXP interns. Our goal is to educate, develop, and prepare interns with the skills they need to enter the workforce of the future in a changing technology landscape.

EXPECTATIONS & TASKS

• Conceptualize and help execute initiatives for a best in class competitive program
• Support with assessment of opportunities and threats with regards to competition in the area of procurement
• Conduct research on competitors and present content in a compelling and easy to consume format for customer facing teams in the organization
• Build a structured approach for reacting to changes in the competitive landscape
• Project management for analyst evaluations by firms like Gartner, Forrester, IDC etc. to effectively position SAP Ariba solutions. This includes analyst related presentation, briefings, questionnaires and research papers

EXPECTED START DATE TO END DATE:  June 11th – August 17th

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Technology/computer science degree, or related field. Currently enrolled in a MBA program preferred.
• Strong communication skills – executive presence, written form, etc.
• Creative thinking and strong research capabilities
• Ability to multi-task and thrive in a high-pressure/time-sensitive environment
• Team oriented
• Strong proficiency with PowerPoint and excel. Design skills a plus
• Is organizationally agile; can navigate a complex organization to reach a goal or objective
• Procurement know-how would be beneficial
