    ABOUT THE TEAM:

    SAP Ariba COO Communications Intern will support the sales organization at SAP responsible for selling software solutions for the source-to-pay business processes. The members of this sales organization work with prospective customers to identify business opportunities for them to digitize and automate their supplier sourcing, procurement, accounts payable, treasury, and supply chain capabilities.

     

    The role of the Global COO is to optimize the effectiveness and efficiency of this global salesforce. That role includes implementing the go-to-market strategic plan for the company, evaluating the selling motions to maximize revenue, removing barriers to success, and optimizing the costs of the sales operation.

     

    WHAT YOU’LL DO:  

    • Prepare weekly internal communications for the 1000+ member global sales force. Media will include email, video, PowerPoint (presentations), Word (executive briefs), internal websites, and others.
    • Prepare ad hoc external email communications for external partners, customers, and prospective customers.
    • Complete a study on the most effective means of communication for a distributed, multi-generational global workforce. You will interview colleagues, research and propose alternative communication media based on modern software and trends, and produce a paper summarizing your findings, analysis, and recommendations. You’ll review during bi-weekly checkpoints and then present at the conclusion of your internship. Your resulting paper can then be included in your communications portfolio.

      

    WHO YOU ARE:  

    We’re looking for someone who can challenge the status quo and likes to stay curious. You enjoy working on meaningful projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

    • Junior or Senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business or Communications.
    • Interested in a Career that focuses on solving a prospects process or organizational challenges
    • Better than basic Microsoft PowerPoint Skills
    • Experience with Microsoft Word, OneNote, and Outlook for composition and editing
    • Experience with Microsoft Excel; data entry, some analysis (desired)
    • Knowledge of Social Media Platforms used in Business Marketing is a plus (Linked In, Grapevine 6, Twitter, Instagram)
    • Displaying professionalism and strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to research, summarize findings and present to the team at least once every 3-4 weeks during the experience for your learning and development
