ABOUT THE TEAM

The Business Network Supplier Solutions team are responsible for creating and managing business solutions that deliver significant value for our supplier customers on the SAP Business Network. The team is comprised of specialists that have many years of procurement and supply chain go-to-market experience between them and includes a mix of technical and business-focused individuals that are spread across locations including the US, UK, Argentina and India. Two of the solutions the team are responsible for had a significant role to play during the pandemic in enabling our buyer customers to find new sources of supply thereby ensuring continuity of their businesses and also in the provisioning of critical PPE and other medical supplies around the world. These solutions supported over $40Bn of business in 2020.

Position title: SAP Ariba iXp Intern – Solution Analyst

Location: Virtual

Expected start date to end date: June 7th, 2021- August 13th, 2021

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

IN THIS ROLE, YOU’LL:

• Work with team members to understand market growth opportunities for both existing and new solutions that will deliver benefits to our buyer customers whilst delivering significant value to our supplier customers. This will include identifying new countries and partners to expand our B2B marketplace solution and working on a new “seller insights” reporting and analysis solution to help supplier customers be more successful in marketing and selling on the Network.
• The SAP Business Network is the largest B2B network in the world, supporting over $3 trillion of business annually. Suppliers and other trading partners are key to the success of the Business Network therefore we must continue to grow existing sources and deliver new sources of value to these stakeholders to ensure their continued participation on the Network.  Working within the Business Network Supplier Solutions team will provide opportunities for you to identify, research and propose opportunities to drive such value whilst gaining experience of how such projects are managed and delivered within the world’s largest enterprise software company, SAP. Learn how to work within a global team that welcomes different perspectives and how to collaborate with stakeholders across the broader organization in support of common goals.

Some of the specific activities will include:

• Perform market research to identify B2B marketplace providers by industry and region/country that could become ecosystem partners for SAP’s B2B marketplace solution, Spot Buy
• Identify specific B2B marketplace requirements in target countries (e.g. tax and invoicing requirements, preferred payment methods)
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to determine what analysis suppliers require in order to sell more successfully on the Network
• Consider commercial packaging models for the new supplier solutions
• Create and deliver presentations on key findings to senior stakeholders within the business

• any understanding of B2B commerce & business/commerce networks would be advantageous but not essential
• excellent written and verbal communication
• great presentation skills
• candidates must be in a current graduate or undergraduate degree programme in a relevant subject such as business studies, marketing or information technology
