    The SAP BAY AREA team provides employee engagement programs, events and opportunities to support local SAP employees in all aspects of life.     We are currently seeking an experienced program manager to support the management, planning, and ongoing development of strategic programs & content. You will accomplish this through SAP customer and partner collaboration, highly detailed strategy planning, effective communications and an eye for technological projects. The role will be responsible for managing SAP’s makers space: d-shop as well as well as supporting various events, programs, and projects from a content perspective. You will work directly with internal teams, external customers and C-level executives to plan, design, build, and scale events, projects, and campaigns to employees locally, regionally, and globally.

    You are a good fit for this role if you are driven by connecting the dots, figuring out the story, and bringing people and teams together. You are the wizard behind the curtain, listening to everyone while keeping an eye on the big picture to get everyone to the desired outcome. You are open to new ideas, can objectively evaluate technical proposals, and have the discipline to see each event or project through. You are independent, a quick learner and someone who simply gets things done.

    HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE

    • Support in the development and execution of content strategy for highly visible SAP conferences and programs
    • Manage the day-to-day operations of SAP’s d-shop including:
    • Create and implement dshop’s strategy plan by partnering and understanding current strategic programs and partnering with SAP’s Managing Director’s office
    • Develop, organize and lead dshop events, technology trainings and tours
    • Evaluate potential d-shop projects and lead viable projects to successful implementation
    • Be the connector between teams, customers, executives, and partners through highly strategic thinking, planning and support
    • Create and implement strategic projects through grassroot ideation with customers and employees
  • Qualifications

    A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WOULD

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required with 2-5 years of related experience
    • Strong passion for employee engagement and storytelling
    • Excellent social, leadership and presentation skills with a proven ability to build & develop relationships
    • Advanced project management skills to keep track of projects, budgets and involved resources
    • Technical expertise to understand project proposals and adequately evaluate and provide feedback
    • Experience developing a story, creating an agenda, and finding speakers for large-scale events
    • Experience successfully navigating a complex, matrixed environment with multiple stakeholders
    • Sense of humor appreciated
    • Must be able to work in either San Ramon or Palo Alto, CA; local candidates preferred
    • Able to travel between 0-15%
