The User Experience Design role will be supporting special pilot and incubation projects with a focus on validating new enterprise product, technology, and architecture approaches and the goal to actively help to shape SAP’s future Cloud ERP architecture.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE

• Your primary mission will be to understand our business needs and product requirements and transform that understanding into user-focused and intuitive products, interfaces, platforms for mobile and web.
• Be a part of our product team weaving iconography, typography, color, space and texture together to help our users successfully navigate our products.
• Rely on user-centered design principles to produce high-quality visuals—from concept to execution—across many platforms.
• Collaborate with your fellow designers to constantly refine our design language and create innovative, great-looking products that people love to use.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, software engineers, and many others to solve complex challenges and craft powerful experiences that highlight our products’ unique capabilities and personalities.

A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WOULD

• BA/BS degree in Design such as interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial or a related field or equivalent practical experience
• Proficient with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Sketch
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary UX and/or product teams (motion, interaction, UX research, engineering, UX writer) on technical implementation
• Communicate effectively in a cross-functional product development team and present easy to understand ideas and designs effectively.
• Experience implementing visual design systems across a range of platforms in an iterative software development environment
• Excellent problem-solving skills and familiarity with technical constraints and limitations as they apply to designing for platforms such as desktop and mobile, Android and iOS
• Proven ability to act as a leader in communicating conceptual ideas and design rationale
• Must be self-motivated to prioritize and manage workload and meet critical project deadlines.
• Must be able to work onsite in Newport Beach, CA US and willing to relocate if necessary
