About the team

The SMB distribution (sales) communications and employee engagement team is dedicated to raising the bar on communications for SMB senior leadership and delivering best-in-class communications for our employees. We work collaboratively with our communications counterparts across SAP, including Sales, Marketing, and Operations. Our standards are high, we take pride in our work and understand the importance of delivering high-quality products, and we never forget to have fun in the process. This internship will be a fully remote position.

What you’ll do:

Position title: SAP Concur iXp Intern - Communications and Employee Experience

Location: This position will be a fully remote internship. – please note that roles will be remote until local guidelines ensure safe office reopenings

Expected start date to end date: June 7th, 2021 – August 13th, 2021

In this role, you’ll:

• Write, design and internal-facing employee communications content, including intranet articles, newsletters, emails, and presentations.
• Assist in revamping our department intranet site and developing a robust “about us” section to help teams across SAP, including new hires to SMB, understand who we are, what we do, and why we matter.
• Help create digital/social media content and support related activities.
• Execute ad hoc special events.
• Work collaboratively with internal partners.
• Perform special projects and/or other functions to support the business.

Who you are:

We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stay curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

• Must be a junior or senior working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Public Relations or Communications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including strong copyediting skills.
• Good attention to detail.
• Excellent digital skills, including familiarity with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; SharePoint and MS Teams a strong plus.
• Willingness and ability to take initiative and work in a fast-paced environment requiring the ability to juggle multiple tasks.
• Solid interpersonal skills and team orientation.
