What is SAP iXp?

SAP’s Internship Experience Project is a paid program that gives university students the space to find purpose in their careers. Describe the role. What is the purpose and objective of position?

• Develop code for TripIt’s new API and backend architecture
• Work closely with, and incorporate feedback from, product management, UX designers, mobile, and back-end engineers
• Dive into and evaluate new and unfamiliar technology
• You will either be placed on an Agile scrum team or given and independent project to work through and complete. Whether in scrum teams or not, you will be expected to talk through problems with other engineers, product managers, UX designers, and QE throughout the internship. The environment is open and everyone within the team is eager to assist in your growth.
• Interns are expected to research, evaluate, and develop new features or services for the TripIt team. Each new feature or service has the possibility to drive more customers to our site.

What it takes

Our continued growth is dependent upon talented people with a variety of skills, knowledge and backgrounds. We hire Software Development and Design interns with experience in all of the following areas:

• Experience with application development in HTML, CSS, and Javascript
• Server-side application development in PHP, Python, Perl, Ruby, or equivalent
• Knowledge of SQL and development of database-backed web applications
• Understanding of web and web-related technologies
• Natural problem-solver and troubleshooter
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
