    COMPANY DESCRIPTION

SAP started in 1972 as a team of five colleagues with a desire to do something new. Together, they changed enterprise software and reinvented how business was done. Today, as a market leader in enterprise application software, we remain true to our roots. That’s why we engineer solutions to fuel innovation, foster equality and spread opportunity for our employees and customers across borders and cultures. ABOUT THE SAP INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE PROJECT:

The SAP Internship Experience Project is SAP’s global, paid internship program that provides university students with the opportunities to find purpose in their careers.

THREE REASONS TO INTERN AT SAP:

    1. CULTURE OF COLLABORATION: Meet with mentors, make new friends across the globe and create a thriving personal network.
    2. PROJECT-DRIVEN EXPERIENCE: Gain cross-functional skills from our virtual and in-person learning sessions, diverse subject matter experts, and project deliverables.
    3. GAIN VISIBILITY: With SAP Internship Experience Project in your title, you’ll have a global network of SAP leaders, entrepreneurs and career development opportunities at your fingertips.

    ABOUT THE TEAM:

SAP Concur’s Technical Product Management organization (TPM) is responsible for creating and executing a roadmap for products, features, and services with inputs from numerous stakeholders including Product Strategy and Technology.

Travel is a key part of SAP Concur’s integrated Travel & Expense value proposition.  The business travel industry is evolving at an ever-quicker pace as travel managers strive for reduced costs and suppliers differentiate themselves with new products and services in more markets.  An online booking tool needs to do much more than facilitate air and hotel reservations according to travel policy; it must be an extension of our clients’ policies and cultures.  Supporting the full range of demands from current and future clients with dynamic traveler personas requires clear prioritization and a hunger to act fast.

    WHAT YOU’LL DO:

POSITION TITLE: SAP Concur iXp Intern – Technical Product Management

    LOCATION: Bellevue, WA

EXPECTED START DATE TO END DATE: June 8, 2020 – August 14, 2020

    IN THIS ROLE, YOU’LL:

    • Understand the traveler personas of our wide range of clients, specifically those personas that are inclined to extend their business trip for leisure time to explore a new city or visit family and friends.
    • Dive deep into the limitations of the Concur Travel online booking tool related to bleisure (business + leisure) trips.  Make connections across the product line (TripIt, TripLink, Concur Expense, Concur Request) to develop common themes around those gaps.
    • Analyze booking and expense report data to identify actual usage of the products for bleisure use cases today.  Estimate the leakage caused by the limitations.
    • Document and prioritize use cases across the product line that would improve the bleisure experience for the traveler and the customer.
    • Socialize and validate the use cases internally and with clients.  Synthesize that feedback into an overall recommendation for this space.

    WHO YOU ARE:

We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stays curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

    • Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree, ideally with a focus on Product Management, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Administration, or Information Technology.
    • Experience with user personas, user stories, and requirement prioritization is a must.
    • A strong communicator who can independently make connections internally and externally, succinctly explain the effort, and skillfully extract what you need from those SMEs and clients (be it details on how the product currently works, industry norms, desired behavior, etc).
