    ABOUT THE TEAM:

     

    SAP Fieldglass UX design team is growing and lots of interesting work going on for 2020. Even though we have been around for over 20 years we still innovate and build out new features to help our clients streamline processes and improve the application.

     

    We have 6 people on our UX design team. We can provide a wealth of information to you as an intern to get you started quickly

    • The main goal is to have the intern gain an understanding of our design principles
    • You’ll have the opportunity to interact with many different groups
      • Development, QA, Product Management
    • How does UX drive business impact and results?
      • Produce output to help improve the usability of our applications
      • Be thoughtful in the designs and suggestions you build
      • Analyze data-driven input on usage

    THE ROLE YOU’RE APPLYING TO:

     

    Position Title: SAP Fieldglass iXp Intern- Junior User Experience Design Associate

    Location: Naperville, IL; second choice Chicago, IL | Manager works in Naperville but there are team members in Chicago

    Expected start date to end date: June 8, 2020 to August 14, 2020 but can be extended based upon when you need to go back to classes and your interest.

     

    YOUR TASKS WILL INCLUDE:

    • UX RESEARCH:
      • You will be involved in research and design for web and mobile applications
      • Assist in understanding the core problem (enhancement) we’re trying to solve
      • User Journey mapping to understand key flows and user pain-points
    • STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENTS:
      • Collaborating and communicating professionally with stakeholders
      • Clearly describe design decisions and absorb constructive feedback
    • PROTOTYPING:
      • Designing user-experiences from low-fidelity sketches and wireframes to hi-fidelity pixel perfect mockups
      • Learn, understand and contribute to our Design System
      • Be innovative and consistent in the approach
      • Simplify complex interactions where possible
      • See your work become part of our application that’s used by hundreds of thousands of users

     

     

     

    WHO YOU ARE:

     

    We’re looking for someone who can challenge the status quo and likes to stay curious. You enjoy working on meaningful projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

    • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master Degree in UI/UX Design, HCI or similar field
    • Experience with prototyping tools like Sketch and InVision or similar applications
    • Basic understanding with HMTL, CSS and dynamic interactions would be help the intern exceed
    • Familiarity with Photoshop, Illustrator encouraged
    • Excel, Word; minor experience needed
    • Inter-personal skills for presenting your work
    • Displaying professionalism but know this can be fun, inventive work
