    ABOUT THE TEAM:

    The integration user assistance team creates technical documentation for both external and internal audiences. We work primarily on medium and long-term projects. Some deliverables are tied to specific releases while others are release-agnostic; many are quality of life improvements for the integration development organization at SAP Fieldglass. On any given day, some team members may be documenting technical implementation details for new features, improving existing documentation for an upcoming release, documenting new or existing APIs, or developing a new repository to provide instruction to an internal development audience.

     

    WHAT YOU’LL DO:

     

    POSITION TITLE: SAP Fieldglass iXp Intern – User Assistance Developer, Product Integrations

    LOCATION: Naperville, IL

    EXPECTED START DATE TO END DATE: June 8 ,2020 – August 14, 2020

    IN THIS ROLE, YOU’LL:

    The User Assistance Developer Intern will assist the integration user assistance (technical writing) team in improving processes for the team and deliverables for 2020 releases.  This includes, but is not limited to:

    • Understanding and documenting internal processes for the user assistance team and wider integration team. Proposing improvements to processes.
    • Enhancing existing customer-facing documentation as part of release cycles. This includes adding new functionality, editing existing documents, and learning tools and technologies for producing and maintaining such documentation – side-by-side with other team members.
    • Discussing technical details with subject matter experts and using those discussions to create new documentation or enhance existing documentation.

    This position helps accomplish some 2020 integration objectives by helping determine where there are information gaps as we integrate multiple SAP products together for the Intelligent Enterprise.

     

    WHO YOU ARE:

    • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
    • Experience tracking down and synthesizing information from multiple sources
    • Ability to organize information so that it can be quickly found and used
    • Ability to work independently and within a team
    • Effectively manage time and be organized
    • Familiarity with software applications such as Confluence, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint
    • Degree program in Communications, English, Technical Communications, Journalism, or similar – you don’t need to be a developer to work in the software industry!
