ABOUT THE TEAM The SAP Fieldglass UX Design Team is a tight-knit group of individuals who focus on elevating the experience of our users through visual design, interaction design, information architecture, and user research. Our team leads the charge of adopting a user-centric approach throughout SAP Fieldglass. We are a data-driven bunch and are keen to push the boundaries of what our software can do to make an impact on our users.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

POSITION TITLE: SAP Fieldglass iXp Intern – User Experience Design LOCATION: Naperville, IL (remote until local guidelines ensure safe office reopening) EXPECTED START DATE: June – August 2022 (end date may potentially be extended if circumstances allow) 

IN THIS ROLE, YOU’LL:

• Contribute significantly to UX research and design projects on web and possibly mobile apps
  • Help define the strategy (the “what” and the “why”) of new projects
  • Deliver high-fidelity, detail-oriented mock-ups to illustrate design proposals that solve user pain-points
• Collaborate with Developers, QA Analysts, Client Implementation, Helpdesk, and the Product teams to seek feedback and iterate on your designs
• Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to produce insights and inform your eventual designs
• Participate in other user research efforts to improve the usability of our products
• Practice storytelling skills to present and advocate for your designs
• Learn how to proactively provide and receive feedback during design meetings within and outside our team
• See your designs all the way through to release and make an impact on thousands of users

WHO YOU ARE:

We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stay curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

REQUIREMENTS: 

• Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in HCI, Information Science, Industrial Design, UX Design, Product Design, or similar field
  • Regrettably, we cannot accept bootcamp graduates
  • You must have a valid work visa throughout the duration of the iXp internship
  • We will consider students who are currently in their final term of their degree program
• Experience with Figma or Sketch to create interactive prototypes is preferred 
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and dynamic interactions is preferred
• Leans towards a collaborative approach with other team members and seeks to build bridges with other teams
• Experience working in a remote office environment preferred
• Not afraid to wear multiple hats and work in situations of ambiguity
• Proactively communicates and thinks outside the box to improve our products
• Shares learning resources with the team
• Students local to the Naperville, IL area are preferred
