About the team

Intelligent Enterprise Solutions (IES) is a unit within SAP which is responsible for developing, delivering and running the Intelligent Enterprise at SAP. Within IES, the Native App Experience team is responsible for ideating, developing and supporting over 45 native mobile apps for SAP's 100K+ employees. Our team is comprised of 24 iOS and Android developers, Designers, Quality Assurance and Testing engineers, Support engineers, Students and Operations engineers.

What you’ll do:

Position title: SAP (IES) Intelligent Enterprise Solutions iXp Intern – Mobile App Designer

Location: San Ramon, California (Hybrid)

Expected start: April 2023 – April 2024

Schedule: 40 HR/Week

In this role, you’ll:

We are looking for students who are passionate about providing a superior user experience through native iOS or Android apps. During your internship, you will be working with our design team in daily standups, design projects, design revisions, feature or app development. Spending time in our team will give you experience in the following skills:

• A holistic view of the System development lifecycle (SDLC) in respect to mobile apps

• The opportunity to lead ideation, processes and feature design

• Experience of being a integrated member of design team

• Understanding of team dynamics, communication and contributing in a agile organization

• Insights into how mobile apps can provide a competitive edge to enterprises

Who you are:

We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stay curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

• Ideally you would have had some experience and background in with design software such as Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop, Invision or something similar. However, most importantly, you are interested in learning more about app development, what internal technology teams provide to a business and be willing and open to tasks, suggestions and ideas and contributing in a team environment.

Compensation Range Transparency : SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 15-62 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
