ABOUT THE TEAM

SAP’s Global Industry and Value Advisory (IVA), a key component of SAP’s Industries & Customer Advisory (ICA) group, is focused on supporting customers and SAP Industry and Value Advisors across our regions as they conduct collaborative value-based customer engagements.      The IVA team has been a competitive differentiator for SAP for almost two decades and continues to play a leading role in setting industry-leading value-selling practices in Tech. The Global IVA team is responsible for setting the North Star not only for Industry & Value Advisors but also for all teams involved in value-based engagements. Our team has diverse talent and leadership to produce best in class content, value-based tools, customer engagement methodology and enablement for the field, and provides support for strategic customer engagements to help articulate the business value customers can achieve with SAP innovations. WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Position title: SAP Innovation Hub iXp Intern – Full Stack Developer  

Location: Atlanta, GA or Remote(Virtual)

Expected start date to end date: January 2023 – June 2023

IN THIS ROLE, YOU’LL:

• Play the role of Full Stack Developer Intern for low touch digital solutions for Volume Management Centers and 'Sap Digital Value Discovery'

• Responsible & accountable for the end-to-end technical requirement, software design, and development  

• Actively work on the ideation, requirements gathering, brainstorming, design, development, testing & roll out of the digital platform, processes, and procedures in collaboration with SAP stakeholders 

• Keenly engage with customers/stakeholders to capture their business requirements, interpret their requirements to prepare product features and translate them to technical specifications for development 

• Perform solution architecture validation, data modelling, and demonstrating proof of concepts (PoC) or prototypes to SAP senior leadership for valuable feedback   

• Provide analytical and quantitative justification with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases to facilitate internal buy-in to get funding for the entire project 

• Understanding of ‘SAP Product Standards and Compliance’ to foster GDPR and customer data protection and security  

• Ensure 100% automated testing & successful UAT/mock runs completion of the newly developed Value Engagement Hub.   

• Ability to write clean and scalable code using programming languages. 

• Experience developing and consuming web services using REST, SOAP and the HTTP protocol that scale/performance in high transaction applications 

• Some experience of Microservice architecture implementation. 

• DevOps mentality with an understanding of Continuous Delivery and Observability 

• Hands-on experience with cloud-native solutions is preferred.

WHO YOU ARE:

We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stay curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

• Master’s or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or any other specialization or equivalent practical experience

• Strong programming knowledge in JavaScript, NodeJS, and JavaScript frameworks with ability to tune code for performance. 

• Ability to Set up a CI/CD pipeline for cloud deployments with Jenkins 

• Knowledge of opensource JavaScript frameworks like Aurelia, React, Vue is a plus  

• Ability to write clean backend code and knowledge of HANA and BTP (Business Technology Platform) is a plus  

• Solid understanding of core technologies, SDLC (Software Development Lifecyle) and a natural curiosity for innovation 

• Ability to connect the needs and opportunity for businesses and users with core advantages and benefits from new technology. 

• Good command of office tools, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
