    ABOUT THE TEAM 

     

    The HanaHaus team is looking for a talented and passionate Social Media, Digital Marketing & Events Intern. This full-time internship position will begin as a remote role but will eventually be based in either Palo Alto or Newport Beach and will report directly to the Global Head of HanaHaus. 

     

    Our team adds a personal touch to each HanaHaus location, and we are committed to empowering our members in every way. We keep HanaHaus full of amazing small businesses and entrepreneurs by making inspiring first impressions with everyone we meet. We are the heart and soul of the HanaHaus experience. Our goal is to expand our digital footprint and customer experience through our social media channels, our external newsletter, and event promotion. 

    The intern will be asked to drive these engagements and grow our virtual audience by cultivating our social media strategy, engaging with our followers, assisting with virtual events, developing new content, and repurposing existing materials. For an innovative and customer-facing initiative like HanaHaus, we are looking for a person who has a “can-do” attitude and will support all areas of the project, including day-to-day operations and event support, whenever needed. 

     

     

    WHAT YOU’LL DO: 

     

    POSITION TITLE: SAP iXp Intern- HanaHaus Social Media, Digital Marketing & Events  

    LOCATION: Palo Alto or Newport Beach, California  (please note that roles will be remote until local guidelines ensure safe office reopenings)

    EXPECTED START DATE TO END DATE: ASAP

     

    IN THIS ROLE, YOU’LL: 

     

    EVENTS MARKETING 

    • Manage relationships with external partners on various virtual events, e.g., Business Bites, Café Scientifique, and Design Bites as well as follow up with speakers. 
    • Design assets for events using design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite. 
    • Publish event page through Eventbrite and prepare marketing posts for social media.

     

     

    SOCIAL MEDIA 

    • Create optimal posts for each channel of social media. 
    • Plan and map out content on Mural board and schedule content through Sprinklr. 
    • Plan, develop and execute campaigns to increase engagement or followers specific for each platform.

     

     

    WEBSITE 

    • Manage and update the website with the latest information and events. 
    • Optimize SEO to web pages if there are changes to the site.

     

     

    EMAIL MARKETING 

    • Create a monthly newsletter featuring exciting content and upcoming events. 
    • Send event email promotions through Eventbrite.

     

     

    ASSET CREATION 

    • Write and publish blogs/articles that are important for HanaHaus. 
    • Design posters, flyers, guidelines, PDFs, and other necessary items needed. 
    • Create replay video clips from virtual events optimized for social media

     

     

    CRM/DATA 

    • Update and manage audience data and social media analytics in Airtable/Excel. 
    • Gather and organize feedback through survey forms.
  • Qualifications

    WHO YOU ARE: 

     

    We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stay curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning. 

     

    The ideal candidate will have a nice blend of digital marketing experience, graphic design and video editing skills, and experience in blogging and story-telling. The candidate should have a background in Adobe Creative Suite and social media channels like Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn paired with an eagerness to learn on the job. Experience with tools such as Eventbrite, Mailchimp, Figma, Airtable, Mural, and Sprinklr is a plus. 

     

    • DOER: You do what you love! Credibility is earned at HanaHaus through execution and getting things done. You’re able to dig into the details and deliver results under the highest expectations on time and quality. We value pragmatism and creative outcomes. 
    • Customer-focus: You should have the ability to identify the needs of customers and create/drive solutions. Be able to translate trends into actionable ways to anticipate customer and market needs. 
    • Collaborator: There is no room for “I” at HanaHaus. Every role and individual is in the organization to serve the team. You will be asked to build trust across the organization and be a good team player. You should be open to new and innovative solutions and are also willing to adjust course when appropriate new ideas or objections are raised. 
    • Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or enrolled in Master’s. Previous experience in consumer-oriented marketing, social media, and event management. A willingness to learn and grow into the role.
