    The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a face-paced IT Support environment in our Herndon, VA location.  You will be exposed to a full range of hardware and software technologies used by NS2 personnel in our office and remote locations.  You will learn how large enterprises manage, track, and control their IT environments.  SAP NS2 offers exposure to a wide variety IT Infrastructure that will ultimately broaden your understanding of the IT industry.  You will experience other aspects of IT Support, including managing small projects, developing processes and documentation, working in a Data Center, and implementing new tools and technologies.  

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Duties may include the following:

    • Provide 1st level user support at the walk-up IT Helpdesk and on the IT Support Hotline
    • Perform basic troubleshooting and resolution of common Hardware and Software problems
    • Manage IT support ticket system (creation, updating & resolution of user requests)
    • Manage, track and audit IT equipment inventory and software licenses using electronic databases
    • Manage small, IT support projects
    • Assist in resolving configuration issues related to A/V equipment and conference rooms
    • Produce documents, charts, and drawings using Word, Visio, and PowerPoint
    • Provide research information for management and support team, as needed
    • Deliver computer orientation to new-hires and existing company staff
    • Participate in Data Center operations activities, as needed
  • Qualifications

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Enrolled in an accredited university studying Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline; minimum Sophomore standing and GPA of 3.0

    • Advanced knowledge of front-end IT technology (laptops, printers, peripherals, networking, e-mail, mobile devices, Windows O/S, 3rd party software apps, etc.)

    • Advanced Microsoft Product knowledge (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)

    • Demonstrated analytical, technical and problem solving skills

    • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently in a fast paced environment

    • Willing to be mentored, take direction, and execute objectives in a collaborative team environment

    • Advanced verbal and written communication skills (in English)

     

    SPECIFIC PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Ability to travel by air/car/train to other locations within the United States (0- 10%  travel)
    • Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted
    • Ability to hold and manipulate small tools
