RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Exposure to or basic knowledge of various technologies used by security, development, and operations
Documents and executes security activities regarding monitoring, availability, and vulnerability management.
Ensure excellent quality and maintain high standards in all process listed in the relevant process maps. Adheres to standards and procedures.
Troubleshoots information systems accessibility, availability or operability problems to identify and mitigate errors or deficiencies and develop solutions. Basic analytical, problem-solving skills.
Ensures that appropriate information security is applied in all tasks.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Basic communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate appropriately with colleagues and other functional teams. Good oral and written communication skills.
Escalates/communicates issues when necessary.
A proven track record as a team player and ability to work independently
Familiarity with vulnerability scanning and management software, such as Nessus
Experience working with the Linux operating system
Exposure to Splunk or similar SIEM tool
Basic knowledge of container-based applications and management methods
Exposure to any Intrusion defense system (IDS) // intrusion prevention system (IPS) tool.
Familiarity with file integrity monitoring (FIM) controls and processes
Basic knowledge of encryption protocols and processes.
Basic understanding of role-based access controls.
Basic knowledge of AWS or Cloud Technologies
Understanding of networking concepts (e.g., firewall, OSI model)
Understanding of virtualization concepts
Exposure to scripting language, such as Bash or Powershell
Exposure to automation tools, such as Chef or Ansible
