Our team covers a wide variety of tasks – content creation, event management, product messaging, brand management, social media, storytelling, communications, public relations, and more. For an intern to succeed with this group, they will need to be comfortable executing across a wide variety of tasks, including making phone calls to drive attendance to events, preparing reports in Excel, preparing content to deliver across various mediums (web, video, social), assisting with the production of content campaigns, and a variety of other tasks as needed. 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:  

We are looking for interns skilled in one or both of the areas outlined below, who are eager to learn more about marketing in a technology company. We’re looking for hard-working leaders with initiative -- our interns also take on a leadership role in the call campaign for a large scale event we produce and host in the DC area. Our interns will be comfortable working on (and, in some cases, managing) multiple on-going projects, with supervision and guidance from the marketing team.  

Successful marketing interns are skilled in one or more of the areas outlined below: 

• Exceptional communicators, both verbal and written 
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail 
• Working knowledge of business social media best practices and platforms 
• Comfortable working on myriad projects and able to work with limited supervision

Education Requirements 

• Must be a recent college graduate or enrolled in college credited courses

Mobility 

• 0-10% Travel

DESIRED SPECIALIZED SKILLS: 

General: 

• Contribute to other projects on an adhoc basis 
• Provide administrative support to management when required 
• Pitch in to assist marketing team as needed

Digital: 

• Assist with content creation for landing pages, campaigns, and social media posts 
• Seek and analyze competitor marketing material and digital content 
• Support monitoring and posting on NS2’s blogs and social networks 
• Assist with optimizing our website and conducting keyword research and analysis 
• Help create and maintain tracking reports of digital marketing efforts 
• Enter customer or contact information into database or other tracking management system

Visual: 

• Support Videography and Video production 
• Assist with ad creation, landing pages, and marketing materials 
• Assist in the distribution or delivery of marketing materials

Desired Skills: 

• Adobe creative suite 
• HTML/CSS and/or WordPress proficiency 
• General knowledge of HubSpot demand gen/lead gen 
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
