About the team

Data Platform team is responsible to Design, Architect and implement a robust Data Platform (which is a collection of many different Infrastructure) to bring data in (un)structured & semi-structured format to Data Lake or Data Warehouse. Lot of experiments & new technologies getting evaluated to make a appropriate Data driven decisions.

Our group has engineers (senior and entry level) working closely with their respective expertise to solve complex distributed problems.

Candidates having a Data Driven engineering mindset and eager to learn, be part of solving complex problems, this is the group you don’t want to overlook

What you’ll do:

Position title: SAP SuccessFactors iXp Intern – Full-Stack Software Developer

Location: San Ramon, CA

Expected start date to end date: June 7th, 2021 – August 13th, 2021  

In this role, you’ll:

Project : Data Platform and Search

Team is currently in the POC/Prototype phase to build the Data Platform where Events which are generated by our business applications will be sent thru our platform which gets categorized and sorted appropriately in Streaming style to make data available to upstream analytics or other business pillars to consume in real time. ML & AI models will be applied on the data once its reaches our Data Lake.

For 2021 we have to solidify our prototype and make some architectural decisions with all the experiments and code changes to prove our scalability and resilience story

• Data Platform is an effort to make SAP SuccessFactors an Data Driven Company to serve or internal & external customers
• Details are given as part of what Data Platform is all about and what’s our direction towards solving current gap in providing data for our Data Scientist

We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stay curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

• Engineering and Data Driven mindset
• MS computer science preferred
• Programming (Java/Python), Big Data, Data Science
• JAVA/Python, Linux System knowledge
