Qualifications

This is an opportunity for a recent graduate or student entering into senior year. To be successful in this role, you need to be in a degree in Computer Science or a related field

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing innovative solutions to meet customer needs
• Collaborative with other members of enginerring team and articipate in team meetings and provide input
• Utilize web development technologies and object-oriented programming principles
• Troubleshoot and resolve software issues efficiently.
• Support the product team with technical feasibility analysis and solution proposals
• Follow and help define architectural / coding best practices and participate in software design and code reviews

Job description

We are looking for a highly motivated and talented Software Developer intern to join our Spot Buy team as an Intern. This is an exciting opportunity for a student or recent graduate to gain real-world experience. The successful candidate will working with experienced engineers and contribute to the development of innovative solutions for our customers. Our ideal candidate is a quick learner with a passion for programming, excellent problem-solving skills and a strong understanding of software engineering.

• Location: SAP Palo Alto CA office - 3 days per week in the office, Mondays / Tuesdays / Thursdays
• Expected Start Date (flexible): June 2024

Requirements for this role:

Prior experience with full stack development with Java with object orienting program concepts

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-cultural teams.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities - Familiarity with software engineering principles and practices

Ability to work in an agile environment using SCRUM methodology

Preferred:

Experience in designing, developing, deploying, and testing multi-tenant business applications in the cloud with a focus on backend infrastructure.

Experience in developing REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot

Knowledge about the SAP Business Technology Platform

The targeted combined range for this position is 15 - 62 (USD) USD.
