    What you’ll do:

    Position title: SAP iXp Intern - Advocacy & Amplification / Partner Ecosystem Success

    Location : Virtual or 10 Hudson Yards, 51st Floor | New York, NY 10001, USA

    Expected start date to end date : June 2023 – June 2024

    The Partner Ecosystem Success Advocacy & Amplification team is seeking a communications intern to support a variety of communication channels. This includes assisting with the planning of global to-partner events (both in-person and virtual), amplification of partner news on the SAP Partner Portal, quarterly reporting to internal stakeholders and leadership teams, assisting with social media accounts for the team, as well as administrative tasks related to executive communications. The goal is to support increased visibility and reach of SAP’s partner ecosystem, including partner success stories and awareness of SAP’s strategic offerings and partnership programs i.e., industry cloud, RISE with SAP, GROW with SAP, the SAP PartnerEdge program as well as to support increased awareness of SAP and partner news with internal stakeholders. This is a highly collaborative role with team members found around the globe.

    This is a hands-on position for an experienced writer (ideally an enrolled student in a BA or MA program for marketing, public relations, corporate communications , or journalism, for example). Successful candidates must have solid communication skills, strong attention to detail, creative ideas, marketing acumen, knowledge and experience with social platforms, and excellent copywriting and editing skills. The position requires the ability to seek out information and problem-solve.

    Event Support

    Social Media Support

    Amplify Partner News

    • Assist with various event-related activities, including setting up registration sites, analyzing registration data, developing event polling questions, slide preparation, and follow-up surveys, etc.

    • Support quarterly reporting including tracking of partner news on social channels, creating the quarterly Media & Influencer report and quarterly GPM SAP PartnerEdge Communication Presentation for leadership

    • Maintain internal SAP WorkZone pages with relevant, up-to-date information about partner business

    • Maintain and support team with updates to Partner Ecosystem Success SharePoint site

    • Liaise with the SAP Partner Update newsletter team to deliver news items to the SAP Partner Portal team for posting to the site

    • Draft messaging and help with basic images for posts

    • Light video editing (if no experience, can train on the job)

    • Light event support (executive scheduling and related logistics, proofreading marketing copy, etc)

    • Work with the SAP partner PR team to support social amplification of partner news across SAP social channels, including content creation, submission to SAP social channels, and tracking of uptake with an eye on trends

    • Correspond with SAP partners to post approved partner press releases to in German and English

    What you bring:

    The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in writing and editing for business or media. Must have attention to detail and the ability to seek information and solve problems. Must enjoy and excel working in collaborative teams and also independently. Excellent collaboration and communication skills including empathy and relationship-building skills are a must.

    The candidate must have:

    • Good writing and editing skills in English with a passion for writing compelling, easy-to-read copy; some experience drafting press releases and/or newsletter copy is a plus

    • Detail-oriented, works well independently and cross-functionally

    • Ability to understand requirements, seek out answers, drill into details, and resolve issues

    • Good communication skills (written, verbal, and visual)

    • Good listening skills, ability to pull out and summarize information

    • Must be a team player and demonstrate high performance and willingness to take initiative

    • Good problem solver with a high degree of self-initiative

    • Knowledge of German is a plus

    • Enrolled BA or MA student, ideally in public relations, journalism, communication, or related fields

    Compensation Range Transparency : SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the hourly base salary rate range applicable for the posted role. The targeted range for this position is 15-62 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidates will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process.
