ABOUT THE TEAM

• SAP’s Customer, Competitive, and Market Insights (CMI) team conducts research, monitors activity, and provides insight on what our competitors are doing, saying, and planning. We build innovative platforms that enable us to track our competitors using real-time data available to no other company in the software industry. We provide these insights to stakeholders across SAP – board members, executives, sales teams, and more

• This global team is made up of industry analysts, intelligence experts, and data scientists, many of whom came to SAP from leading analyst firms such as Gartner, IDC, and others

WHAT YOU’LL DO: 

POSITION TITLE: SAP iXp Intern - CMI Competitive and Market Research Specialist  LOCATION: Palo Alto, CA; Newtown Square, PA; - please note that roles will be remote until local guidelines ensure safe office reopenings EXPECTED START DATE TO END DATE: July 26, 2021 – January 25, 2022 (can be extended for 6 months)  

IN THIS ROLE, YOU’LL: 

• Build field-facing deliverables (e.g., battle cards) on SAP’s competitors. Battlecards are using by SAP account executives to win sales opportunities over the competition
• Work with CMI analysts to update and validate our platforms (e.g., the Market Model, Voice of the Customer, Competitor Reference Dashboard, 
• Evaluate data from third parties (e.g., Gartner, IDC) to provide insights that can drive SAP market position and strategy
• Update field facing collaboration and data sharing websites to facilitate easy access to competitive information

• Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent critical thinking and analysis skills
• Good ability with Microsoft office tools including Powerpoint, Excel, and Word
• Pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Marketing, Communications, Library Science, Liberal Arts, or another relevant field of study
